Our recap of the biggest and best headlines we featured during the past seven days includes some updated work on the latest Vampire Weekend album, and a return for Death From Above 1979.

Vampire Weekend have commissioned Goose and jazz producer Sam Gendel for remixes of their 2021 track.

The two remixers have done all they can with the sparsity of the original, taking barely 90 seconds into over 20 minutes each worth of jamming.

Coming out of the child of Texas’ new Californian home, it was recorded during that state’s period of devastating wildfires, public unrest and, of course, national lockdown, and is being previewed today with New Day.

It’s being previewed now with I’m Glad That We Broke Up, the latest since Beth Jeans Houghton began recording as Du Blonde in 2014.

Sebastien Grainger and Jesse F. Keeler have surprise announced their next LP with its first single One + One.

“It’s the karmic sequel to Romantic Rights,” Grainger says. “My wife, Eva, became pregnant not long after we started working on the song and after hearing an early version she said, ‘I wish this song was dancier’.”

The Weeknd has confirmed the full details of his rescheduled After Hours world tour, moving some dates which had been set for this year in the process.

Originally intended for 2020 in support of the album of the same name, the After Hours tour will now open in Vancouver on January 14th 2022, and has a fair few new gigs added to it also.
