Idles had originally been due to tour their Ultra Mono album from April this year.

Idles have moved their UK and European tour to 2022.

The UK leg, starting with a four-night run at the Brixton Academy in London, will now take place during January and early February next year, followed by the European dates which run into March.

“Due to Covid-19, our UK & European headline shows will now take place in 2022,” a statement from the band reads. “We are also happy to announce that we have added dates in Bilbao and Barcelona which are on sale immediately.”

“All tickets will be valid for the rescheduled dates. Where there are multiple shows there will be a straight swap as per the order of nights. Further information can be found from point of purchase.”

“For the Ultra Mono record store shows, we are looking at the best options for making those happen later this year, and stores will be contacting ticket holders directly in due course.”

The focus is on female support acts during the tour, with the likes of Jehnny Beth, Sinead O’Brien and Cate Le Bon all confirmed.
