Watch New Radicals reunite to perform You Get What You Give at Joe Biden’s inauguration

New Radicals

You Get What You Give was a Top 5 UK hit for the New Radicals in the late nineties.

20 years ago, they were gone in an instant as quick as the impact their huge hit made in the US and UK.

But yesterday they were back, the New Radicals fulfilling their pledge to perform at Joe Biden’s inauguration after it emerged what big fans the new President’s family are of You Get What You Give.

“When we heard You Get What You Give was a Biden family anthem, we pledged if Joe won we’d get together and play our little song – both in memory and in honour of our new president’s patriot son Beau,” frontman Gregg Alexander, clad in his trademark bucket hat, said when introducing the song.

Since the abrupt end of the New Radicals, Gregg Alexander has continued his knack for writing hit pop songs, the DNA of You Get What You Give apparent on songs such as Life Is A Rollercoaster, a UK hit for Ronan Keating, and The Game Of Love, which earned him a Grammy Award.
