Run The Jewels released RTJ4 to huge acclaim this year.
Royal Blood have put their spin on the Ground Below track which features on Run The Jewels‘ RTJ4 album.
“We’re big fans of each other’s bands,” El-P has explained of origins of the ‘Royal Jewels’ mix.
“A while back, we hung out and played each other songs we love – one of mine was Gang Of Four’s Ether, which I later sampled for ‘he Ground Below. Mike and I thought it would be cool to get Royal Blood’s take on The Ground Below – we sent it off to them and they killed it.”
“Royal Jewels is the ultimate dream come true scenario,” Royal Blood add. “It’s an alliance we wish long continues.”
