U2 lead Black Friday reissues on UK Record Store Chart

UK Record Store Chart

U2 re-released Boy on white vinyl for RSDBF.

Reissues are the order of the day on the latest UK Record Store Chart thanks to Black Friday Record Store Day, with U2, Paolo Nutini and Editors among those back in the charts.

Elsewhere, Smashing Pumpkins have a brand new release in the Top 10 thanks to Cyr, while Nick Cave’s Bad Seeds live album Idiot Prayer is at #15, a few places ahead of Laura Marling who re-enters the Top 20 with Song For Our Daughter.

The Official Charts Company launched the UK Record Store Chart in 2012 to reflect the last decade’s drive to support independent music outlets and the concurrent surge in vinyl sales. It is compiled from the best selling albums at 100 of Britain’s leading independent music shops.
