Lady Bird say this is ‘collectively their favourite song from their lockdown1.0 recording sessions’.

Fresh off their Brainwash Machine Settings EP, Lady Bird have shared a brand new track which they’ve picked out from studio time spent during pandemic restrictions.

“It’s fair to say this tune wasn’t selected for our debut album, however it certainly wasn’t due to any lack of characterful qualities,” the band say.

“Everything you hear (beside the one-drop feel) is a taste of what’s to come. 2021 will hold a new and yet original…Political Wasteland, SOAP OPERA DON’T BOTHER!’”

Political Wasteland is due on December 9th via their own Purple Stains label, after the trio made their debut on Kent neighbours Slaves’ Girl Fight Records back in 2018.

Laurie Vincent and Isaac Holman forged closer ties behind the production desk for the same year’s Boot Fillers track, one about ‘the challenging relationships with father figures’ experienced by frontman Sam Cox.
