The track features on Idles’ third studio album, released back in September.

Some of Idles‘ best videos are their animated ones – see Man With A Perm and Model Village for reference – and there’s another this week with director James Carbutt and animator Pip Williamson putting a spin on the Ultra Mono cut Kill Them With Kindness.

“The dingy pub setting in the film is based on the Working Men’s Clubs of my hometown (Barnsley). It was nice to imagine Idles bursting in and spreading a message of love.”

“During our research we discovered that no two Wetherspoons carpets are the same, they are all unique like snowflakes, so yeah making this film was a wild ride.”

Plenty has been taken from Ultra Mono to-date, starting with Mr. Motivator back in the days of Lockdown #1 – a time when, ‘one track in, and they’d grabbed what it’s law to call ‘these strange and unpredictable times’ by the scruff of its strange and unpredictable neck’, according to Live4ever’s feature.
