One half of The Boxer Rebellion introduced their new EP last month.

Nathan Nicholson and Adam Harrison of The Boxer Rebellion have released the full American Dream EP which has launched their new venture Big Ideas with director Ben Lankester of the Progress Film Company.

Highway and Hurricane join the title-track on there, American Dream first shared as the US prepared to go to the polls for this year’s presidential election.

It arrives a couple of years after The Boxer Rebellion’s last studio album Ghost Alive – one of Live4ever’s top picks of 2018:

“Ghost Alive is superficially an acoustic record, not so much an abandonment of the principles which have, to a greater or lesser degree, dominated the band’s horizons but a rejection of anything that could distract, the object to bring you as close to the mirror as possible,” our review reads.

“Part way through its creation Nicholson’s father died, making it something of an unconscious requiem, although it seems that the deceased’s influence is more as a confidant than the subject of a glad-ragged wake.”
