The Oasis single has been covered by the likes of Cher, Kylie Minogue, Robbie Williams, Bryan Adams and Nile Rodgers.

This year’s Children In Need Anthem, a new version of Stop Crying Your Heart Out, is heading to number one in the UK, reports Billboard.

“It’s a great honor to have Stop Crying Your Heart Out chosen as this year’s Children in Need anthem,” Noel Gallagher has said. “Children in Need is a fantastic charity, which in these increasingly desperate times is now more important than ever.”

Under the banner of Radio 2 All Stars, various big names from across the musical landscape have covered the song which first appeared on Oasis‘ 2002 album Heathen Chemistry.

Proceeds from downloads will add to the £37 million which was raised for charities and good causes in the UK during Children In Need’s annual telethon last Friday.
