James Blake recently performed The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
One of the many artists making good his free-time this year performing covers on social media, James Blake enjoyed an impromptu viral hit with his lockdown recording of Frank Ocean’s Godspeed.
That, along with his version of The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face, has now been included on a new Covers EP which is to be released on December 11th.
“One of the things keeping me going mentally throughout lockdown has been the requests from fans for different covers and performing them on Instagram,” he recalls.
“It’s been a joy to discover new music and new ways of playing songs I’ve already heard. I might even throw in a surprise that no one has heard me play on socials before. I’m excited to share it with people.”
