Watch The Music in rehearsal as they prepare for comeback gig

Music

Rob Harvey has posted footage on social media of The Music in rehearsal as they begin preparations for their live return next year.

It’s a return which grew up gradually from the seed of a Tim Burgess Twitter Listening Party for their self-titled debut album – an occasion which the band said in a statement last week, ‘reminded them how much they loved the music that they made together, and more importantly just how much they really like each other as people’.

“So we booked a rehearsal, just to see what itwould feel like to get in a room and play together, and it felt amazing! We can’t wait to walk on stage next year, it’s going to be really, really special.”

And now we can see the four bandmates getting back into the old routine with a homecoming show at Temple Newsam Park in Leeds booked for May 28th, 2021, when they’ll be joined by support bands The Cribs, The Coral, The Snuts and The Skinner Brothers a decade on from their split.

Where are the leaders? Where are the leaders? A false empire of burning fire.
