Sunflower Bean have released their first new music of the year.
After 2019’s King of the Dudes EP followed up the previous year’s full length Twentytwo In Blue – one of Live4ever favourite albums of 2018 – the trio spent time with producer Dave Bassett whilst recording Moment In The Sun, a track about, ‘finally recognizing what is important in one’s life, the people you decide to spend it with’.
“All of these things we distract ourselves with, the never ending mountain of career climbing, the pursuit of financial success, and the hope that after all that trying you could finally be cool,” the band say. “All of that is meaningless in comparison to one great day, hour, or moment with someone you really love.”
It’s presented with a video directed by Andy DeLuca and Sarah Eisman, on which the band aimed to represent the meaning of the song and take inspiration from lockdown by, ‘creating two separate worlds’.
