New Order have released a standalone single entitled Be A Rebel.

The single had originally been planned to coincide with autumn tour dates, but despite those now being moved into 2021, the band have decided to press on with their first bit of new material since 2015’s Music Complete album.

“In tough times we wanted to reach out with a new song,” Bernard Sumner says. “We can’t play live for a while, but music is still something we can all share together. We hope you enjoy it…until we meet again.”

The ‘Unity’ co-tour of North America with Pet Shop Boys is set for September and October next year, while there’s also a headline date at the O2 in London booked for November 6th.
