Marika Hackman will present a collection of covers self-produced during lockdown on November 13th.
Simply called Covers, the album is set to offer Hackman’s takes on tracks from the likes of Radiohead, Elliott Smith, Air and Beyonce, while her version of Grimes‘ Realiti has been picked to spearhead the announcement.
“When it comes to covers, I like to pick songs which I have been listening to obsessively for a while,” Hackman says. “It gives me a natural understanding of the music, and lets me be more innovative with how I transform it.”
After recording sessions at home during the past few months, David Wrench was asked to mix a final product.
