Richard H Kirk sets first Cabaret Voltaire album in over two decades for release later this year

Cabaret Voltaire

It’s been well over 20 years, but Richard H Kirk is preparing a new Cabaret Voltaire album for release later this year.

Founder member Kirk has been on his own working on the first CV record since 1994’s The Conversation, at the newest incarnation of Western Works, and Shadow Of Fear is now set for release on November 20th via Mute. “The album was finished just as all the weirdness was starting to kick in,” he says.

“Shadow Of Fear feels like a strangely appropriate title. The current situation didn’t have much of an influence on what I was doing – all the vocal content was already in place before the panic set in – but maybe due to my nature of being a bit paranoid there are hints in there about stuff going a bit weird and capturing the current state of affairs.”

Shadow Of Fear tracklist:

Be Free
The Power (Of Their Knowledge)
Night Of The Jackal
Microscopic Flesh Fragment
Papa Nine Zero Delta United
Universal Energy
Vasto
What’s Goin’ On
