It’s been moved around since first being announced back in February, but Foo Fighters have now succumbed to the inevitable and cancelled their ‘Van Tour’ of the US entirely.

Dave Grohl had been hoping to celebrate the 25th anniversary of his band by recreating its first tour, visiting cities, and some venues, which he’d rocked up to in a Dodge van two-and-a-half decades ago.

Whilst that won’t be happening anymore, Grohl has got his mind on the Foo Fighters’ future too, and gave some comments around a tenth studio album to Mojo earlier this year: ”I’ve never entered into the album process thinking, ‘We’re the greatest, most amazing, biggest band in the world’,” he said (via NME).

”You might convince yourself of that when you’re in a room listening to sh*t you’ve just recorded. But the second you hit play in front of a roomful of strangers, you turn into a six-year-old kid with his pants down at school. Absolutely.”
