Cabbage have launched their new album Amanita Pantherina today with its first single Get Outta My Brain.
Amanita Pantherina was entirely produced and recorded by the band in their own Brassica Studios with the aim of continuing, ‘the time capsule ideal of keeping albums current to reflect their philosophy at the time of recording’.
As the lead track, Get Outta My Brain continues on from Cabbage’s debut album Nihilistic Glamour Shots, which troubled the UK Top 40 in 2018. “The title of the track has two meanings and it’s about the balance of how the two meanings constantly fight each other – some people just want to run away and some people intoxicate themselves to run away,” Lee Broadbent, says of it.
“It’s an attempt to channel the spirit of Manchester and is purposely amped to become a choice cut when we get out to do it live.”
