Bon Iver have teamed up with Jenny Lewis and multi-instrumentalist Phil Cook for another standalone single, this one called AUATC.

Just like PDLIF of earlier this year, which benefited Direct Relief and the coronavirus pandemic frontline responders, Justin Vernon worked with Jim-E Stack and BJ Burton on production for this new track, after writing sessions with Cook and later contributions from Jenny Lewis, Jenn Wasner and more.

“Each and every person on earth deserves to live fully with dignity, equity, justice, and joy. Instead, our capitalistic societies have created a world that is most supportive of the wealthy and the elite, and the predatory corporations and policies that drive their disproportionate success,” Vernon says when encouraging fans this time to focus on organisations which fight for a more just society.

“The average person is cast aside and unheard; marginalised communities are further oppressed due to race, economic status, gender, sexual orientation, creed, criminal record, housing stability, education, ability, documentation status, and more. The pandemic further magnifies these grave inequities and this unchecked greed.”
