The UK’s high streets are tentatively reopening, the pubs creaked open their doors at 6am this morning, and record shops too are getting back into the swing of things.

Despite taking the top spot on the main chart rundown, HAIM have had to settle for second place on the UK Record Store Chart, with Khruangbin‘s own new entry Mordechai beating Women In Music Pt.III to number one. Elsewhere, reissues pervade the Top 10; from Belle And Sebastian, Nirvana and Longpigs.

The Official Charts Company launched the UK Record Store Chart in 2012 to reflect the last decade’s drive to support independent music outlets and the concurrent surge in vinyl sales. It is compiled from the best selling albums at 100 of Britain’s leading independent music shops.
