I Like Trains are keeping the mood consistent on the latest preview of their new album KOMPROMAT.

Very much in the same vein as previous singles The Truth and Dig In, A Steady Hand, ‘looks at the messaging behind nationalist politics’, reports vocalist David Martin. “It seems there’s often a certain dark irony at play, with politicians wheeling out an anti-immigration stance which stands completely at odds with their own family history and circumstances,” he says.

“Is there a complete lack of self-awareness, or are they simply willing to sell-out their own partners, parents and grandparents for power and influence?”

The Leeds band’s first new record in eight years is due for release on August 21st.

KOMPROMAT tracklist:

A Steady Hand
Desire Is A Mess
