Doves are aiming to tour their new album The Universal Want in the spring of next year.
With their first LP in more than a decade due on September 11th, a UK tour has been arranged to start in Cardiff on March 21st, 2021, moving on to Bournemouth, Norwich, Brighton, London, Bristol and Birmingham during the remainder of that month, and Manchester, Nottingham, Newcastle, Liverpool, Sheffield and Glasgow through the first ten days of April.
“It’s definitely got the stamp of ‘the time’ all over it,” Jez Williams has said of The Universal Want. “Everything on the album is an echo. It’s an echo of what we were going through at the time. Getting back together, the Royal Albert Hall and everything else.”
