Groove Armada recently served up a delightful slice of eighties inducing dance on Get Out On The Dancefloor, and it’s now been given the remix treatment by Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard.
Get Out On The Dancefloor is the lead track off Tom Findlay and Andy Cato’s next album which is due later this year, and is built around countless extracts of the soundbites which Nick Littlemore of Empire Of The Sun provided for his vocal contribution.
“As I went through the recordings of Nick, I realised there were lots of cool phrases and great deliveries we could use,” Cato said. “It took a very long time to find the right order for them, but once we had that line ‘Get out on the dancefloor, it felt vibey. Slotting the music underneath was the easy bit!”
