Fontaines D.C. have announced a tour of the UK for May 2021 which, thanks to lockdown, may well be the first chance fans will have to soak up the band’s forthcoming second album A Hero’s Death in a live setting.

NHS staff and key workers will have the opportunity to grab 50 free tickets which are available for each of the shows, while 200 are on offer at London’s Alexandra Palace where the tour is due to end on May 27th next year.

Fontaines launched their new album last month with its blistering title-track – one written according to Grian Chatten, ‘during a time where he felt consumed by the need to write something else to alleviate the fear that I would never be able follow up Dogrel’.
