Phoebe Bridgers by Frank Ockenfels
Phoebe Bridgers‘ second album Punisher was recently confirmed for release on June 19th, and it’s now got another single ahead of that date in the form of I See You.
“It’s about my breakup with my drummer,” Bridgers reveals. “We dated for a few years, made music every day, and were extremely codependent. We became like family to each other, so our breakup was extremely tough. But if this tells you anything about our relationship, we wrote this song together, just like everything else.”
With the opportunity to immediately tour her new album very much unavailable right now, Bridgers is to instead begin the ‘Phoebe Bridgers’ World, Tour’ on May 26th, performing livestream from her kitchen. These will continue until next month when she’ll be tucked up in bed for the final one on June 6th.
