Paul Weller has released his new single Village, the second from his On Sunset album which is due on June 19th.

“It’s a response to being told that we’ve all got to explore the Amazon and climb Everest to make our lives complete,” Weller explains. “And there’s a guy who says, ‘f**k all that, I’ve got heaven around me’.”

The track features Weller’s Style Council bandmate Mick Talbot on keyboards, and was recorded like the rest of the album at Black Barn Studios in Surrey with co-producer Jan ‘Stan’ Kyber.

As of now, Weller’s touring behind the album will take him around the UK and Ireland during the late autumn.
