Noel Gallagher has shared a demo version of Don’t Stop, a track discovered from his vaults which was first soundchecked during the final Oasis world tour.

“Hey there dudes and dollies,” a message from Gallagher on social media reads. “Like the rest of the world I’ve had infinite time to kill lately so I thought I’d finally look and find out what was actually on the hundreds of faceless unmarked CDs I’ve got lying around in boxes at home. As fate would have it I have stumbled across an old demo which I thought had been lost forever.”

The death of Tony Allen has been announced by his manager Eric Trosset. He was 79.

Hailed by Brian Eno as ‘perhaps the greatest drummer who has ever lived’, Allen’s career took off in Africa and, after pioneering afrobeat, he became a regular fixture in western music too, working with, amongst others, Damon Albarn on the two Good, The Bad & The Queen albums, and the related Rocket Juice & The Moon venture with Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Flea.

HAIM have shared I Know Alone from their new album Women In Music Pt. III.

The sisters have also revealed the album has a new release date of June 26th, saying they feel that point, ‘feels like a more appropriate time’ for the album to emerge. “I Know Alone was always going to be the next song we released, but it feels eerily appropriate given what’s going on in the world right now,” a statement reads. “We hope this song keeps you company.”

Little Simz has announced the release of a new EP after the breakthrough of last year’s Mercury Prize-nominated album Grey Area.

Drop 6 has been given a release date of May 6th, comprising five songs all written during the current lockdown. “I don’t mind being alone,” a statement from Little Simz on social media begins.

Thom Yorke introduced a brand new song whilst performing at-home for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last week.

Yorke had earlier shared the lyrics and music for Plasticine Figures on social media, and it’s described as ‘newly finished’ after being uploaded to YouTube.

Evanescence have announced their first new album in nine years.

The Bitter Truth is set to be released ‘incrementally’ during this year, its first single Wasted On You is available now. “We were recording this music right up until we couldn’t go into the studio anymore, and finished it remotely through file sharing and phone calls,” Amy Lee reveals.
