Augustines frontman William McCarthy has announced the release of a new album Wild Eyes in four parts starting here with The Bloodline EP.

“My new album is called Wild Eyes,” he explains on social media. “The title is based on a boat that was found in the South Pacific that a teenage girl abandoned trying to sail around the world. I related to her journey greatly and decided to try to capture that in my new record.”

“This week would have seen me on tour in Ireland and I’ve had to improvise a bit so I’ve decided to release the album in four separate EPs so I can make short films about each song.”

“I’m releasing this album independently on Bandcamp and it will not be on Spotify anytime soon. They don’t pay us and we got to forge a new path for the creative community that has been crippled in these times. We all could use some music and warmth so thank you for supporting that.”

New Album, New Video, New Path! Anthems! Hello Friends old and new, It’s me Billy McCarthy, it’s been absolutely crazy busy the past three years, sorry if I feel far sometimes. But it’s new music time.. In my humble opinion I think this is the finest EP you’re going to hear this year. We are bringing you some holy Thunder.. Since I left the stage with Augustines I have supported our film “Rise”, wrote a book, two albums and celebrated three years of my podcast called Onward with William McCarthy. Outside of touring and recording the thing I’m most proud of is my Patreon platform. It started as a place I just posted lyrics, set lists and photos, and over time has spiraled into it full video series I’m directing, a short story creative writing space as well as a place I perform exclusive shows for my patrons. Share it, spread the word and ENJOY! Music heals, see you round the bend, music link in bio All my love.. Bill https://www.patreon.com/WilliamMcCarthy Special thanks to Eric Sanderson, Joe Michelini, all the musicians that came along for this rock odyssey and lastly Needham B. Smith III, for directing this video & being crazy enough to travel with me down to South America to record it. Onward!
