Mike Skinner has unveiled the first piece of his next Streets mixtape None Of Us Are Getting Out Of This Life Alive.

Premiered by Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1, Call My Phone Thinking I’m Doing Nothing Better is a collaboration with Tame Impala and points towards a ‘rap duets’ concept which will also take in guest spots from Idles, Hak Baker, Ms. Banks and others.

The hook up with Tame Impala comes not long after Kevin Parker released his fourth album The Slow Rush; “Things have changed in Parker’s life since Currents, which was nominally a break-up album, the most obvious of those being his recent marriage to Sophie Lawrence,” our review reads.

“Signs of the obsessive letting life get in the way are not always obvious however, instead the singer ponders whether he’s still relevant at the grand old age of 34 on the lustrous It Might Be Time, while he chooses to re-examine his relationship with his father (who died in 2009) on the sober Posthumous Forgiveness.”
