Liz Lawrence has released a brand new single called California Screaming.
Part of Live4ever’s Best Of 2019 series after the release of her Pity Party album last October, Lawrence has returned with a single which no doubt speaks for a lot of us right now as it focuses on the, ‘anxiety inducing and addictive cycle of global rolling news’.
“I was sitting in a Mexican restaurant in Pomona, California, watching Fox News on the TV screens, one on every wall,” she recalls. “The onslaught of disaster news, about killer bees and rapidly escalating deaths from vaping, kicked off a 10-day anxiety attack that didn’t subside until I landed back in London. I remember thinking that if I stayed in that world of breaking news, I would never be able to leave the house.”
Liz Lawrence has managed to squeeze in both headline and support tours of the UK and Ireland this year, and will be hoping by October 7th a gig at London’s Lafayette venue is doable.
