Whilst we all hope that June and the fruits of spring will be bringing better news for the world, one of that month’s annual highlights has confirmed its plans for 2020.

Heading the latest announcement for Glastonbury Festival is Kendrick Lamar, who joins Paul McCartney and Taylor Swift at the top of the main Pyramid Stage, meaning for once the rumour-mill proved to be pretty much spot on.

As expected, Coachella Festival has been postponed until later this year as the world continues to deal with the coronavirus outbreak.

Coachella’s sister event Stagecoach has also been rescheduled, and will now take place the weekend after Coachella has completed its new dates of October 9th-11th and October 16th-18th.

The Killers have confirmed their new album Imploding The Mirage will be released on May 29th.

Produced by the band with Shawn Everett and Jonathan Rado of Foxygen during recording sessions in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Park City, UT, its first single Caution has also been shared along with lengthy world tour plans.

Liam Gallagher‘s MTV Unplugged session, recorded last summer with backing singers and string arrangements performed by the Urban Soul Orchestra, will be released on CD, vinyl and digital formats on April 24th.

Packed, of course, with Oasis classics such as Some Might Say, Cast No Shadow and Champagne Supernova, it also features tracks from Gallagher’s two solo album such as the opener, his debut solo single Wall Of Glass.

Norah Jones will release her seventh solo album on May 8th.

Pick Me Up Off The Floor features occasional collaborations, two of which come from Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy. One of them, I’m Alive, is streaming now. “Every session I’ve done, there’ve been extra songs I didn’t release and they’ve sort of been collecting for the last two years,” Jones says of the album’s evolution.

Working Men’s Club have confirmed their self-titled debut album will be released on June 5th.

Recorded with producer Ross Orton, it’ll contain Live4ever’s top track of last year, Teeth, as well as the brand new single A.A.A.A. which has been unveiled today.
