The first bit of new material from Bright Eyes has emerged after Conor Oberst restarted the group back in January.
Persona Non Grata ends nearly a decade’s gap between releases and comes with a note which confirms that, like most others, the band are ‘reassessing’ their touring plans for 2020. At the same time, they insist a new album will be out ‘no matter what’ after signing to Dead Oceans upon their return. ”Bright Eyes is not just a formative artist for me personally, but for countless people who work at Dead Oceans,” the label’s co-founder Phil Waldorf said.
“To get to work with a band that is part of our own origin stories in falling in love with music is the rarest of privileges. We are thrilled to be part of another great chapter in Bright Eyes enduring legacy.”
