Hamilton Leithauser has shared Here They Come, his first new material since 2016 brought collaborations with Rostam Batmanglij and Angel Olsen.

“Here They Come is about a friend who tends to run from his problems,” Leithauser says of the track which has come with a lyric video recorded at Café Carlyle in New York City. “When the going gets tough, he tends to just cut and run. The song is about the specific moment when the lights are coming up in a movie theater where he’s been hiding out all day, and life’s complications are just coming back into focus.”

Since The Walkmen wound down following the release of Heaven in 2012, Leithauser has released three solo albums including the Rostam collab I Had A Dream That You Were Mine – one which Live4ever described as ‘a time machine worth taking’ and picked as one of our favourites of 2016.
