The Von Bondies announce UK tour on 20th anniversary

Von Bondies

For those of us whose formative musical years coincided with the hot and cold era dubbed by NME as the ‘New Rock Revolution’, there’s another rather frightening anniversary coming up.

The Von Bondies will be touring the UK in May, 20 years on from their formation in Detroit by singer/guitarist Jason Stollsteimer, who says the band picked the UK to start because ‘England was the first country that really embraced them.’

“I think it’s a great time to do this,” adds drummer Donny Blum. “We’ve always known that at some point we were going to do more shows. Especially with the world on fire the way it is now, we want to do it before it all burns down.”

The tour is scheduled to start in Birmingham on May 14th and go on to visit Leeds, Leicester, London, Bristol, Glasgow, Manchester and Birmingham.

Tour dates:

May
14 – The O2 Institute, Birmingham
15 – The Wardrobe, Leeds
16 – DSCVR Festival, Leicester
17 – O2 Academy Islington, London
19 – The Fleece, Bristol
20 – King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut, Glasgow
21 – Gorilla, Manchester
22 – Concorde 2, Brighton
