Lionel Richie, Lewis Capaldi, Snow Patrol, The Chemical Brothers and Duran Duran are the first main acts to be revealed for the 2020 Isle Of Wight Festival.
It’s another by-the-numbers effort from a UK festival, with few chances taken, but Lionel Richie for one is looking forward to June 11th-14th next year. “I’m excited to be playing at The Isle of Wight Festival next summer,” he’s declared.
“It’s the first time I’ve performed at the festival and I can’t think of a better way to start the summer! It’s a festival steeped in music history – Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones have all headlined and I’m honoured to be joining the esteemed list! See you all there.”
Duran Duran’s booking is billed as a UK exclusive for 2020, while Lewis Capaldi will be making his debut at the event. “Buzzing to be playing The Isle of Wight Festival next year,” he said. “Going to try and keep the other day clear so I can get a few scoops in after I play!
