The 1991 self-titled debut album from Electronic will get a vinyl reissue next month.

Black and white vinyl editions of the first record from Bernard Sumner and Johnny Marr’s collaboration are out on January 24th 2020. Borne out of Marr’s departure from The Smiths in 1987 and Sumner’s own desire to take a break from New Order, Electronic was, as Marr remembers, the product of ‘two musicians who wanted to get away from the suffocating politics of the band’.

“At the same time, it was OK for duos and DJs and non-groups to make records, and that really appealed to Bernard and me,” he added.

Electronic tracklist:

Side One;
Idiot Country
Reality
Tighten Up
The Patience Of A Saint
Gangster

Side Two;
Soviet
Get The Message
Try All You Want
Some Distant Memory
Feel Every Beat
