The Citadel Festival has come to an end after what organisers describe in a statement issued on social media as ‘five incredible years’.

Citadel started life at Victoria Park in London, and moved with Lovebox to Gunnersbury Park in 2018. During that time it secured notable UK festival exclusive appearances from Foals and Tame Impala, while what has proved to be its last line-up earlier this year featured the likes of Catfish & The Bottlemen, Rag N Bone Man, Friendly Fires and Bear’s Den. The farewell statement reads:

“After five incredible years of Citadel, the time has come for the sun to set on the ultimate summer Sunday.”

“We want to say a massive thank you to every single one of you who has ever attended the festival, and to every artist, performer, speaker and volunteer who we have worked with to create some truly unforgettable moments. See you in another universe. The Citadel team.”
