Noel Gallagher and Supergrass are among the artists confirmed as headliners for next year’s Bristol Sounds concert series.

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will play Canons Marsh Amphitheatre on June 24th, with Supergrass following on June 25th and Jack Savoretti also confirmed for June 28th. June 27th, meanwhile, is an all-day affair when The Levellers, Reef, Goldie Lookin Chain, Peat And Diesel and Gaz Brookfield And The Company Of Thieves are all set for performances.

It’s the second outdoor show for next year to be confirmed by Gallagher, who’ll complete a run of three EP releases in quick succession when Blue Moon Rising is released on March 6th, 2020.

Last June, we were at one of those open air concerts when the High Flying Birds played Heaton Park in Manchester: “Mike Rowe, Chris Sharrock and Gem Archer all bring their Oasis experience to the table, but should never be taken for granted,” our review reads. “In particular, Archer’s solos on both Little By Little and The Masterplan transcend the rest of the song.”

“Equally, Jess Greenfield on keys and backing vocals adds a lightness of touch and a specific groove, and Zuton Russ Pritchard does everything that is asked of him on bass and is the tent pole around which everything else revolves.”
