Isobel Campbell‘s new album There Is No Other is set to arrive on February 7th 2020, 14 years on from her last solo effort, and today she’s shared a video for its latest cut Hey World.
“I’d been witnessing a lot of contrast when I wrote Hey World,” Campbell explains. “In my own life and the world at large. And even though things seemed completely haywire I still had to walk my dogs everyday so I’d be out in nature and started to notice how every time was like hitting instant reset or refresh.”
“I’d feel whole again and was so grateful for that. Hey World is my rallying call to get it together and focus on what really matters. Sometimes contrast and difficulty shows up for betterment and to help us grow.”
The promo was directed by Mike Aho, who took inspiration from the single line, ‘Hey world, what you all about?’.
