New Order have detailed a couple of live shows in Australia which will take place next year.

Visits to the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney and Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl have been arranged for March 11th 2020 and March 14th 2020 respectively, joining the Japanese gigs which the band are also due to play that month.

We caught New Order live this summer, witnessing a ‘masterclass’ which effortlessly blended favourites old and new with some stone cold classics from their Joy Division days. “A bigger surprise is left for later on, the first song of the encore being Decades. Grainy footage of Ian Curtis and the rest of the band provides the backdrop, the opening line of, ‘Here are the young men, the weight on their shoulders’, given considerably more depth,” our review reads.

“It’s a poignant moment, and evidence that Bernard Sumner and Stephen Morris have stopped trying to outrun their past, acknowledging that they never will.”

“Nor should they, especially as it gave them the majestic Love Will Tear Us Apart, unquestionably one of the greatest songs of all time and the only choice to end an unforgettable evening.”
