The Courteeners have announced a new album entitled More. Again. Forever which they’ll release on January 17th, 2020.

The band’s first release since their debut album was remembered last year with St Jude Re:Wired, it follows the 2016 studio effort Mapping The Rendezvous and is preceded by a headline gig at the London Olympia on November 30th and by the regular Christmas time gig at Manchester Arena on December 14th.

Stormzy has shared a third new song of the year with the follow-up to his hit debut album Gang Signs & Prayer in the pipeline.

Sounds Of The Skeng was produced by Sir Spyro and looks set for inclusion on what’s likely to be a blockbuster second record for Stormzy after his debut delivered mainstream success.

Editors will release a Best Of collection on October 25th entitled Black Gold containing 13 tracks picked from their six studio albums along side three brand new songs.

One of those new songs, the title-track, is streaming now, while Editors have also set out a lengthy European tour next year in support of the release which includes some big UK gigs at arenas in Birmingham and London.

Courtney Barnett will embark on her first ever solo tour of the USA during January next year.

Barnett plays the Sky Blue Sky Festival in Mexico on January 18th and from there is to visit places such as Woodstock, NY; Pittsburgh, PA and Cleveland, OH on the landmark tour, with a Brandi Carlile support in Nashville also on the agenda.

FKA Twigs

FKA twigs will release her second studio album later this year.

Magdalene is set to be FKA twigs’ first since 2014’s Mercury Prize-nominated debut album LP1, though there have been a series of singles and guest appearances during the intervening time.

Kele Okereke‘s next solo escapade will be a new album entitled 2042.

Following the soundtrack album Leave To Remain of earlier this year and 2017’s solo debut Fatherland, the Bloc Party frontman will release 2042 on November 8th and is previewing it with Jungle Bunny.

Idles, Dave and Johnny Marr were three of the big winners at last week’s AIM Awards ceremony in London.

Celebrating independent music, two awards were handed out to Idles – Best [Difficult] Second Album for Joy As An Act of Resistance and UK Independent Breakthrough – while the Mercury Prize nomination for Dave’s Psychodrama was followed up with the honour for Best Independent Album.

Bombay Bicycle Club‘s gradual return this year has culminated with the unveiling of a new studio album.

After announcing their comeback right at the start of 2019, a handful of live dates were played recently and plans to tour their debut album I Had The Blues But I Shook Them Loose on its 10th anniversary put in place.
