Echo & The Bunnymen announce release of The John Peel Sessions 1979-1983

Echo & The Bunnymen will release The John Peel Sessions 1979-1983 on red 2LP, black 2LP vinyl and CD on September 6th.

Going back to the band’s earliest years, the album contains some tracks which only existed because Peel sessions were booked; guitarist Will Sergeant remembers just how important the support from John Peel was. “We had been given the ultimate accolade, Peel rated us,” he says.

“This to me was more important than any chart position or appearance on TOTP or any other show. I loved John Peel for inviting us to do sessions and for what he and the show had done for us, and I will never forget that.”
