Amyl & The Sniffers have posted a video for Some Mutts (Can’t Be Muzzled) after the release of their self-titled debut album earlier this year.

It was filmed at the home of director Dikayl Rimmasch in the Yucca Valley area of California on the edge of the Joshua Tree desert towards the end of 2018. “Some Mutts is about being a crazy bitch and not shrinking just because someone expects you to or makes fun of you for being unconventional or non-coy,” singer Amy Taylor says.

“I’m saying fuck yeah I’m glad I didn’t change or contain myself for anyone, and if you want someone submissive then you can have each other, and I’ll just live what’s right for me. I’m saying I’m going to be whether people like it or not. It’s like a break up song, but also like a breaking up with anyone at all trying to cut you down.”

“The video we shot over a weekend out in LA. We got to stay at the clip makers house out in the desert around October last year. there neighbor was a stunt BMX so that was sick to watch.”

“But yeah we went to this cool property nearby their place in the desert and fucked around and filmed it out on their neighbour’s property. It was just us and then 3 of them, Dikayl, Leyden and a polish man called Ted. It was very much spontaneous magic that we got to make it up by the fly of our pants, it was really exciting. They are both legends and really looked after us.”
