Radiohead have eliminated the possibility of a blackmail by themselves releasing 18 hours of demo footage from the archive of their celebrated 1997 album OK Computer.

Writing on social media, the band revealed that material stolen from a mini-disk was being threatened by hackers to be shared online unless $150,000 was handed over, so they’ve instead taken matters into their own hands.

Marika Hackman has released The One as the latest single from her new album Any Human Friend.

The LP is due on on August 9th and was unveiled last month when Hackman said the ‘whole record is me diving into myself and peeling back the skin further and further, exposing myself in quite a big way’.

Liam Gallagher has premiered the video for his new single Shockwave.

Directed by François Rousselet, it adds visuals to a track which has set the ball rolling towards Gallagher’s second solo album Why Me? Why Not which is expected on September 20th. “I’m buzzing,” Liam has said.

After unleashing another raucous 2-minute gem, Moral Fibre, back in April, LIFE have revealed the details of their second album A Picture Of Good Health.

It was recorded with producers Luke Smith and Claudius Mittendorfer, and is being led by the new single Hollow Thing which is about ‘letting go of something in your life, something that’s passed’, according to Mez Green.

Muse headlining the first day of Leeds Festival 2017 (Gary Mather / Live4ever)

Muse have added some UK stops to their European arena stint this coming September which is part of the ongoing Simulation Theory world tour.

After the previously announced gigs in Oslo, Norway; Copenhagen, Denmark and Berlin, Germany, the band will play two nights at the O2 Arena in London on September 14th and 15th before heading north for the Birmingham Arena on September 17th.

Johnny Marr and Jungle are the latest acts to have been invited by this year’s curator Nile Rodgers to perform at Meltdown Festival on London’s Southbank between August 3rd-11th.

They join the likes of Thundercat, Kokoroko, Anitta, Durand Jones and The Indications, Kyle Dixon and Sophie and Songhoy Blues who have already been confirmed for the event as Rodgers follows previous curators such as Robert Smith and David Bowie.

The Chemical Brothers had a busy day last week with news of a new single, an album reissue and the biggest headline UK show of their career.

First up, the reissue is of their third album Surrender on its 20th anniversary, the deluxe version of the 1999 album set to come with a previously unreleased ‘Secret Psychedelic’ mix, a selection of remixes and a DVD of restored promo videos and their Glastonbury 2000 performance.

The Best Of Reverend & The Makers album is to be made available on double vinyl, double CD and digital download formats, with singles such as Heavyweight Champion Of The World, Silence Is Talking and No Soap (In a Dirty War) stretched across the two physicals.
