The next stop for U2‘s Joshua Tree tour will be in Australasia later this year.

Noel Gallagher is to resume his support duties once this leg opens in Auckland on November 8th. In Australia, dates are confirmed for the regular haunts of Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney and Perth.

U2 began their Joshua Tree touring back in 2017 upon the album’s 30th anniversary, when The Edge said, ‘It seems like we have come full circle from when The Joshua Tree songs were originally written, with global upheaval, extreme right wing politics and some fundamental human rights at risk’:

“To celebrate the album – as these songs seem so relevant and prescient of these times too – we decided to do these shows, it feels right for now. We’re looking forward to it.”
