The Amazons have taken top spot on the UK Record Store Chart with their new album Future Dust.

It claims the number one position ahead of another new entry, from Honeyblood and In Plain Sight, while a re-entry for David Bowie, a non-mover from Cate Le Bon and a big climber for Morrissey complete the Top 5.

It was in 2012 when the Official Charts Company began acknowledging the comeback of vinyl which first started over a decade ago with Record Store Day by publishing a weekly Record Store Chart compiled from the best selling albums at 100 of Britain’s leading independent music shops.
