Protomartyr will finally give fans a second chance to get hold of their 2012 debut album No Passion All Technique when it is re-released on May 3rd.

Long since out-of-print and missing from streaming services, it’s slipped into legend during the intervening seven years and is as much of an enigma for Joe Casey as it is anyone else. “My memory is shot,” he says, “but I appreciate now, looking back, how raw and off-the-cuff it was.”

“There’s tons of mistakes in it and that wasn’t because we planned on it. We still can’t really admit that it’s as good as it is.”

“You never want to say that your first is the best, but I’m happy that the first ended up not being terrible. It gave us doorway to what we’d want to do later.”

While just being able to own the album might be enough, there’s a few bonuses on there too in the form of King Boots, Bubba Helms, Cartier E.G.s and Whatever Happened to the Saturn Boys?.
