Glastonbury unveils longlist for its 2019 Emerging Talent competition

Glastonbury organisers have unveiled the longlist for their 2019 Emerging Talent competition.

First name up is a band Live4ever was featuring on our end of years lists as far back as 2014, …And The Hangnails, are on there with another 89 artists who’ll be vying for the chance of winning a place on one of the festival’s main stages in June, as well as a £5,000 Talent Development prize from PRS Foundation.

Two runners-up, in addition, will be awarded with a £2,500 PRS Foundation Talent Development prize. “After our year off, we can’t wait to hear the latest crop of undiscovered music that’s out there,” co-organiser Emily Eavis has said.

“New music is hugely important to what this Festival is about, and the Emerging Talent Competition has helped us to unearth so many incredible artists from across the genres. Bring on the entries!”

The three Pyramid Stage headliners for the return of Glastonbury are now known, they are Stormzy, The Killers and The Cure.
