Fat White Family, black midi added to line-up for Great Escape 2019

Fat White Family and black midi are just two of 120 acts to be newly confirmed for this year’s Great Escape festival.

After the likes of Indoor Pets and Fontaines D.C. got the ball rolling as the event’s First 50 with some launch gigs last November, Fat White Family have been confirmed for the Quietus Stage with over 450 artists now due in Brighton between May 9th-11th.

Fat White Family release their new album Serfs Up! on April 19th and recently unveiled its Tastes Good With The Money track complete with a video directed by Roisin Murphy. “When I look at the video, what I see is the trust they put in me and I’m so proud of that,” Murphy said. “Maybe it’s because I am a performer too but they let themselves be put in a kind-of vulnerable situation.”

“They allowed themselves to be foolish, silly and absurd in a way that could have gone tits-up, however, the result is hilarious and the performances are second to none.”
