Big Thief will release a new album on May 3rd.

Adrianne Lenker et al were back from their various other projects at Bear Creek Studios in Washington with producer Andrew Sarlo to follow-up 2017’s Capacity, and have unveiled U.F.O.F with its title-track. The ‘F’ stands for ‘friend’, according to Lenker:

“Making friends with the unknown.. All my songs are about this. If the nature of life is change and impermanence, I’d rather be uncomfortably awake in that truth than lost in denial.”

Big Thief have arranged a UK and Ireland tour after the album’s release when they will visit Leeds, Glasgow, Dublin, Manchester, London and Bristol before a final stop at the Cambridge Junction on May 26th.

The band play a handful of live dates in the UK and Ireland this spring.

19 – Glasgow, SWG3
21 – Dublin, Vicar Street
22 – Manchester, Ritz
23 – London, Roundhouse
24 – Bristol, SWX
