Stormzy, Catfish And The Bottlemen and George Ezra have been revealed as the headliners for TRNSMT Festival 2019.

Gerry Cinnamon, Years And Years, Richard Ashcroft, Sam Fender, Steve Mason, Jade Bird, Jess Glynne, Tom Grennan and The Amazons are some more names confirmed for Glasgow Green between July 12th-14th.

Mumford & Sons have been installed as headliners for the All Points East events which will take place on June 1st in London.

The Vaccines, Dizzee Rascal, Jade Bird, Leon Bridges and Sam Fender have also signed up for that day as Mumford & Sons add to what is shaping up to be a relatively quiet European festival season for them.

The family of Peter Tork have remembered a ‘friend, father, husband, grandfather, philosopher, goofball and entertainer’ after the Monkees bassist’s death was announced last week.

Tork passed away at the age of 77 after a decade-long battle with adenoid cystic carcinoma. His bandmate Micky Dolenz also reacted to the news, saying on social media that he is ‘heartbroken’.

Morrissey has unveiled the details of a Canadian tour after last year declaring his decade-long boycott of the country over.

The singer’s first dates in Canada for nearly twenty years will start (or are planned to start right now) on April 15th at the Orpheum in Vancouver, and include a two-night stay at the Sony Centre For The Performing Arts in Toronto.

Johnny Marr is keeping the fires burning after Call The Comet – one of Live4ever’s albums of 2018 – and has shared the brand new single Armatopia.

Its video was directed by Kris Rimmer, who says he and Marr wanted to ‘work with the idea that even when the future of a person seems bleak and uncertain, they can still choose to pursue pleasure and self-indulgence’.

Bombay Bicycle Club and Robyn will both make UK festival exclusive appearances at Wilderness in August.

Bombay Bicycle Club’s confirmation for the event, which will be held at Cornbury Park in Oxfordshire between August 1st-4th, is one of the first bits of concrete news to emerge since their hiatus was brought to an end last month.

The Cure have announced four shows at the Sydney Opera House to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their 1989 album Disintegration.

The gigs will take place on May 24th, 25th, 27th and 28th, just before Robert Smith’s huge spring and summer which will see his band visit pretty much every major European festival going, including InMusic, Rock Werchter, NOS Alive, Mad Cool and Flow.

Everything Everything bass player Jeremy Pritchard will join up with Foals for the band’s impending live duties.

“While our friends Everything Everything are on a break before making new music, they have kindly loaned us their bass player Jeremy Pritchard, who will be touring with us this year,” Foals announced on Instagram.
